    Content Manager

    Job Details
    - $30-40hr depending on experience W2 (no subcontracting)
    - Long term contract - 12 Months+ (Possible extensions)
    - Hybrid - Onsite 3 days per week in Bentonville, AR, plus occasional trade shows (1-2 per year)

    Position Description

    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Content Manager to lead the strategy, development, and execution of photo product templates and designs for Photo/Customer Printing. This role is critical in delivering fresh, relevant, and high-quality design content that drives customer engagement and sales across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will combine creative vision with data-driven decision-making and strong project management skills to optimize the customer experience and support Photo’s business goals.  

    Key Responsibilities
    • Content Strategy & Execution:
      o Develop, procure, and launch innovative and seasonally relevant photo product templates and designs across assigned categories. 
      o Define and continuously refine a holistic content strategy aligned with Photo/Customer Printing goals and KPIs.
      o Manage an end-to-end content calendar to ensure timely product launches and refreshes.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
      o Partner with catalog operations, software/IT, product management, merchandising, and marketing teams to align content initiatives with broader business objectives.
      o Facilitate communication and workflow between internal teams and external design agencies.
    • Design & Product Content Management:
      o Oversee the full lifecycle of design projects, including creative briefs, lookbook management, design selection, delivery, and enrichment.
      o Manage relationships with designers and agencies from contract negotiation through design launches.
      o Ensure product imagery, descriptions, category graphics, and purchase flows are optimized for customer experience across all Photo platforms.
    • Data-Driven Optimization:
      o Analyze sales data, customer trends, and content performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
      o Make informed recommendations on design carry-overs, deletions, and new product introductions to enhance the shopping experience.
      o Monitor and optimize the omnichannel experience by managing design assets across platforms.
    • Budget & Resource Management:
      o Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
      o Maintain accurate budget trackers with estimates and actuals.
    • Systems & Tools:
      o Utilize Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems for content job/task creation, delivery, enrichment, and workflow management.
      o Guide agencies and internal teams through system processes to ensure smooth content delivery.
    • Quality Assurance & Compliance:
      o Review products and designs pre- and post-launch to ensure alignment with brand standards and customer expectations.
      o Ensure all content complies with policies and legal requirements.
    • Reporting & Communication:
      o Prepare strategic presentations and analytical reports for leadership and stakeholders.
      o Participate in regular team meetings to maintain alignment on campaigns, launches, and strategic priorities.
    • Additional Duties:
      o Develop a deep understanding of the Photo/Customprinting shopper
      o Stay up to date on design and industry trends
      o Attend up to two industry tradeshows or events annually to stay current on market trends and network with partners.
      o Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed to support the Photo/Custom Printing business; assigned by management.

    Required Skills/Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Business, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, content management, or product merchandising.
    • Proven experience developing and executing annual content or marketing strategies.
    • Experience working with or for retail e-commerce businesses; photo product category experience is a strong plus.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
    • Proficiency with project management tools (Smartsheet preferred).
    • Experience overseeing the deliverables of creative teams or external agencies.
    • Solid understanding of graphic/image file formats, specifications, and digital asset workflows.
    • Comfortable interacting with demanding clients and stakeholders.
    • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; willingness to improve is acceptable.
    • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting sales data and content performance metrics.
    • Familiarity navigating stock photo libraries and sourcing assets.

    Desired Skills
    • Experience with photo or personalized products in e-commerce or retail environments.
    • Knowledge of Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Product Information Management (PIM) systems (Bynder and/or Akeneo preferred)
    • Experience managing multiple projects for diverse internal and external customers.
    • Basic understanding of software user interfaces and workflows.
    • Familiarity with Jira Kanban or similar agile project management platforms.
